Meet The Doods

These are the Doods. The Doods were originally going to be part of the Woodland Whimsy collection. They had a sort of woodland sprite feel to them when I first started making them. They weren't even incense holders at first either. But they have sort of mushroomed into something totally different.

They are their own thing. Quirky little incense holders that come in a delightful rainbow of colours. And the rainbow keeps growing.

Their little faces exude surprise and elicit delight. They are incense holders that can hold sticks and cones. But they are so wonderful to have around the house just to look at that they don't necessarily need to be functional.

If you would like to learn more about how the Doods came to be you can read all about the process here.

Each Dood has been designed by the artist (even-star Hancock) and each unique piece is made, fired, and glazed by the artist.

All of the heirloom quality ceramics pieces are unique and come with a certificate of authenticity that records the serial number of the item, the year it was made, and the signature of the artist.

Every Dood is fired to over 1000 degrees Celsius, decorated with a variety of glazes and frits, and fired again to 999 degrees Celsius.
